Resolutions I can get behind: Stop pretending art is hard

This should almost belong in a list of real resolutions. For the flippant resolution, I should’ve said something about coloring in coloring books or something. Which, I’m not going to lie, I do enjoy. But I made the image, and the text is green, so here it is. Even if I’m terrified of making visual art because, for some reason, I’m the only one in my family who cannot draw to save their life. (Even hubs can. It’s not fair.) But no one ever got better at something by simply wishing it was so. So I’ll be creating visual art this year.

And I’m telling myself it will sell for a small fortune at auction after my death.

You know, because I’ll be a world famous author by then.

Let me have this one thing in the face of my overwhelming terror …
