Have you read “Taking the Heat” by Victoria Dahl yet? If not, let me recommend it. It’s basically the perfect summer romance read. (Check out my full review here)
Now that you’ve read the book, since I’m sure you dropped everything to read my review, buy the book, and then devour it, let me get back to my original point. I’ve decided to take a page out of Veronica’s play book and start writing little pieces of advice to myself in hopes I’ll follow it. I don’t have sticky notes and a fridge on me, so I’ve decided to do the next best thing and make images for them. I’ll be posting one a day for the work week, so hold on to your asses.
I am not going to lie to you; I only had four days’ worth of material. Even as I was posting the first sticky note to my blog and stating that I had five days’ worth of posts, I only had four ideas. And I was really pushing myself for another idea. It was a scraping the bottom of the barrel type of situation. You almost got a sticky note about using the bathroom at work. (That’s a lie … bathroom sticky notes is a whole different series. One that will probably never happen.)
Why do I do this to myself? Why do I plan fourteen book series and then stop writing before I finish book two. Sure, some of it is a fear of failure, but that can’t be everything, right?
Well, from now on I’m going to start small. Plan one blog post and book out at a time. And if it turns into a big recurring thing? Great. I will be tickled various shades of pink. If not, I don’t end up looking like a jackass, feeling like a moron, and hiding under my covers reading fanfiction.
I seriously have an unhealthy addiction to fanfiction …
Maybe that should’ve been the fifth point …
